Currently all sessions are held virtually. I am licensed to provide mental health counseling / therapy to residents in the state of Florida only. However my coaching program is available to all.
11am - 7pm Monday - Thursday by appointment.
Currently I utilize Carepatron to hold therapy and coaching sessions. When scheduling a session you will be redirected to the Carepatron website and prompted to create an account. Prior to your sessions you will be provided with a link to enter the waiting room.
I use CarePatron to schedule and conduct therapy sessions for your convenience. Here's how it works:
Scheduling Sessions:
When you select schedule a session you will be redirected to the Carepatron website. You can schedule you session directly on the CarePatron platform.
We will confirm the session and send you a notification with the date and time.
Virtual Sessions:
Therapy sessions can be conducted virtually through the CarePatron platform, making it easy for you to access therapy from the comfort of your own space.
Privacy and Security
This platforms is HIPPA compliant and confidential. I take your privacy and security seriously. CarePatron employs industry-standard security measures to protect your personal and payment information.
Therapy and coaching are both forms of professional support that can help individuals achieve personal and professional goals.
Therapy tends to focus on addressing and resolving mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and other psychological concerns. Coaching, on the other hand, focuses on helping individuals achieve their personal and professional goals, such as, stress management, communication issues, and healthy lifestyle choices and goal setting and achievement, thus creating a path that aligns with their values.
***Coaching should not be used as a substitute for therapy, nor should it be used to treat mental health conditions. It's important to understand your needs and goals when deciding which type of professional support to pursue.***
Counseling and/or therapy is a safe, nonjudgemental space for you to express and process your thoughts and feelings regarding your life experiences, concerns, challenges, and issues. Therapy can be utilized as part of your support system when you need to talk with a someone who is unbiased and not emotionally connected to you and your issues.
Insurance companies insist that clients should conform to specific diagnosis, treatment, objectives, and outcomes. However, during my experience working with other insurance-accepting agencies, I've observed that a disproportionate amount of time is spent on administrative tasks, such as document submissions and paperwork, rather than focusing on the client.
I respectfully disagree with the insurance model that aims to fit every client into a predetermined diagnosis and set a fixed timeline for resolving their issues. I believe that my clients deserve to be met where they are in their unique journeys, not forced into a framework dictated by insurance companies.
Under my care, you enjoy complete confidentiality and privacy, a luxury often compromised by insurance requirements. Insurance providers typically demand that I diagnose clients with a mental health condition to assess their need for assistance. Moreover, they necessitate ongoing justifications for each session, based on detailed notes about our services. It is my firm conviction that sharing our intimate and emotional conversations with another agency purely for financial reasons is not only ethically wrong but also insensitive to my clients' needs. I refuse to compromise your dignity and respect in this way.
Since I do not bill insurance, there is no need for a diagnosis, though I do make diagnosis when appropriate. Your interactions with my services will remain confidential and will not be linked to your mental health history in any external records or associated with your social security number. This approach ensures that there will be no potential restrictions or rejections in the future when seeking adoption, prescribed medications, treatments, or acquiring insurance coverage.
Furthermore, opting out of insurance billing empowers you to make decisions about the number of sessions and the timing of when you feel ready to conclude our services. Your journey is in your hands, and I am here to support you every step of the way.
Payment for your counseling sessions will be processed through carepatron. I accept all major credit/debit cards. You will be provided with invoics and receipts.
PaymentsI believe in making the payment process simple and secure. Here's how payments work through CarePatron:
1. Billing and Invoices:Payment is required at the time that your session is scheduled. CarePatron generates invoices for each therapy session, which you can access through your account.
2. Payment Options:You can securely pay for your therapy sessions using various payment methods accepted on the CarePatron platform, such as credit/debit cards or bank transfers.
3. Payment Records:CarePatron keeps a record of all your payments, providing transparency and easy access to your financial history.
Sessions are usually 50 minutes and held once per week. However if you feel like you need more support in the beginning, we can discuss sessions twice per week. I do offer a monthly option where you can opt for 4 sessions that can be used over a 6 week timeframe. I prefer monthly commitments, as it aids the client with accountability.
A brief discussion, held virtually, to share a little bit of information regarding the challenges you are experiencing. This is also the time to ask any questions you may need to make a decision if I am a good fit and you would like to proceed with therapy.
Your first session will focus on us getting to know each other and you providing more information regarding what has brought you into therapy. This will help us establish the therapeutic relationship and identify your goals and treatment plan.
On average short term therapy lasts about 3-6 months for you to see any significant progress. Long term. therapy can last 1 year or more, depending on your goals and challenges. However, there is no real standard time that a person can participate in therapy. The duration of your therapy should be based on your goals, progress and specific challenges.
At Doing The Possible Counseling LLC, I am committed to providing high-quality mental health counseling services to support your well-being. To ensure a smooth and effective counseling experience, I have established the following cancellation policy:
Cancellation Notice: If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, I kindly request a minimum of 24 hours' notice in advance. Cancellations 24 hours or more prior to scheduled session must be communicated by either phone, email or text message in order to be rescheduled. Should I cancel your session for any reason your session will be rescheduled at no cost to you.
Late Cancellation or No-Show: If you cancel or reschedule with less than 24 hours' notice or fail to attend a scheduled appointment (no-show), you will be financially responsible and charged the full session fee. Therefore if client misses the session with less than 24 hours notice and the session is prepaid, this follows the cancellation guidelines and the payment will not be reimbursed for the missed or canceled session less than 24 hours. Phone/Video sessions should be treated as regular in office sessions. If your are late getting on the phone, are unable to talk at our scheduled time, your battery has died and you are unable to access another confidential place to talk, or any other variable that would have you not be able to attend our session please know that you will be charged for the session. Please make the necessary arrangements you need to be available and present for your sessions.
I do not provide documents to satisfy court requirements or for other legal purposes. I also do not provide Emotional Support Animal documentation.
